	Martha's arrival in New Orleans, originally meant to be just a short stay, was complicated by an unexpected piece of rubble on the path she was running. Hobbling more than a little, she was directed to the Camillus Clinic where she had a beyond interesting encounter with its owner, Darius, and was soon shuttled to his girlfriend Anique's house as a temporary place to stay until she got on her feet both literally and figuratively. == Background ==

Considering this girl started the first fifteen years of her life in some quiet fishing town in Maine, you'd think she would have had a quiet, standard life. But quiet, standard lives aren't in the cards for young girls of a Selkie of the Winter Court.

The first fifteen years of her life were as a girl expects. Her sister, Piper, was born when she was four. Her parents loved them both very much. Something always seemed off about her mother, though. She was always melancholy, always staring out at the ocean as if she had somewhere else to be in the world.

In was in the spring of 1992 when the girls discovered their mother's skin. Not knowing exactly what it was, they told her about it. Their mother made them swear to get it for her...which they did. But not without problems. Their father found them. In the scuffle that ensued Cordelia manifested her first bit of Faerie magic, a wave of ice-cold water that ended up killing her father after he hurt Piper.

With the skin returned to their mother and the need to escape, they went into Winter's lands in Faerie and were promptly abandoned.

Getting along in Faerie was a rough experience, but Cordelia learned fast. She protected her sister from anything, she made deals where she needed to and she was always there to pull them out of messes when needed. When Cordi turned 24, they left Faerie to go back to the mortal realm. Life was spent going from one place to the next, never staying anywhere for too long. That is, until they came to New Orleans, Piper got herself in trouble with the local Red Duke and now Cordi has to stick by her side and dig her out if it gets too deep.

She's settled down in a nice little house with her sister, within the city limits. While Piper has gone out and made an effort to meet people, Cordelia has lied low. But it seems like she'll be meeting some people soon enough.
