Soulfire MUSH is based on the Dresden Files book series by Jim Butcher. The game begins in 2007, and it is set in post-Katrina New Orleans. A higher than average supernatural population once existed here, as popular association that paints New Orleans as a city of magic and mystery can aid a spellcaster's work or make it easier for a vampire to move around. Like the other residents of the city, the magical community has begun a slow but steady return.

Many of the characters that appear in the books will never appear, even as NPCs. Some "worldwide" background may get used, but for the most part we strive to tell our own story here in the spirit of RPGs everywhere.

This MUSH is meant as a tribute to Jim Butcher's world and no one may profit monetarily from the use of this MUSH, either directly or indirectly.
